About 1000 hot dogs was served to happy people from Spain with help from local hot dog agents.

Friday and Saturday people came by in the park by coincidence. Sunday the 8th of November we were a part of COP15 Cycling Tour arranged by the Danish Embassy with Narcis - Consul of Commerce – as the front runner. Now we collect money for daily expenses.

Yesterday, Sunday the first of November we had the first COP15 Cycling event in Madrid with approx. 2000 visitors and national TV and news papers. In front of the beautiful King's palace Hottie stood proud and smiled at the people who found their way to a crispy hot dog after at least ½ hour in the line that cut through the Plaza Oriente with about 100 people and bicycles..yeahhh we were popular. We served approx. 300 hot dogs.

Thanks to Unibake, DSV , Centrum Turist, 2Shoes and Chaos Pilots to support this sudden opportunity.

Thanks to the Danish Embassay in Spain - especially consul of commerce Narcis Margall for having invited us and with their support made it possible - intern Maja Louise Byskov for her hard work with the practicalities, translation and for being a brilliant local Hot Dog Agent.

Next Stop Barcelona.
Ciao

Voluntary Hot Dog Team España
Fanny Hot Dog Girl
Local Hot Dog Agent Maja Louise Byskov
Homebased Hot Dog Agent Claudio Amdisen

More pictures from Madrid and Fanny from Kontutto serving hot dogs con todo - Click Here

10th stage, Connie Hedegaard and ”back wheel”

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 202px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_kb6w7gpXV5M/Sjq370TznoI/AAAAAAAAAJA/Hmy3wT0y3L8/s320/Nyt_billede.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5348789745737768578" />
She is one of the 100 most powerful persons in the world right now - was bouncing in the head of me, Fanny Hot Dog Girl, when I headed to the 10th stage of ”COP15 Cycling Tour From Kyoto to Copenhagen” together with Soren Hot Dog Agent. That is exactly why she has to be introduced to Hottie and the philosophy: The direction, that doesn’t start in the heart, is a dead end” and with that mission my pedals were dancing – well another mission was to give the ambassador ”back wheel”, you know, beat him to the finish line.

Missing Hottie
A couple of hundred cyclists had come to join the Danish ambassador in Japan, the Japanese ambassador in Denmark and climate minister Connie Hedegaard. The tour went through the heart of Copenhagen and ended in front of Christiansborg – the Danish parliament building - after 13 km. Hottie joined in our thoughts, since it’s on its way home from Japan with DSV. A lot of people missed it a whole lot.

Catch Connie Hedegaard catch catch
On the stairs in front of Christiansborg – the parliament building – the supporting statements from Japanese ministers, governors and mayors were handed over to Connie followed by a few speeches. Before Connie had the chance to step down from the stairs, I gave her my hand and presented the World’s most travelled hot dog stand. I gave her a Hottie badge (the two ambassadors wore one as well) and she wrote on our t-shirt from Japan. A few photos were taken and I gave her a Hot Dog card saying: ” Good luck with COP15 and remember .. the direction, that doesn’t begin in the heart, is a dead end”.

Mission accomplished!
Hottie and I now hope that Connie will follow the heart of our climate and that we are one step closer our ambition to serve a hot dog to Obama at the climate meeting in December. Connie knows Hottie and she gave us a lot of compliments for what we do for Danish culture and Morning Tears in China.

By the way, I gave the ambassador ”back wheel” this time.
YES, Double mission accomplished.

Fanny Hot Dog Girl

A Regal visit in Fukushima

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_kb6w7gpXV5M/SiN88NlmZWI/AAAAAAAAAI4/VjzZKfH2uLY/s320/IMG_7314.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342250956872901986" />
Feeling like a true Hot Dog Queen I gave my best regal waves to the bemused and amused gathering. I was sitting in the carriage box on a Danish Christiana bicycle pedaled around by the Danish Ambassador Franz Michael. Fukushima is about 250 km. north of Tokyo and by comparison a small town, just one tenth of the size at 300 thousand inhabitants. It was late afternoon in Fukushima the 25th of May and though the event area was slowing down, with true style, dressed in red and white livery, Søren Hot Dog Agent continued heroically handing out hot dogs. Meanwhile, the Mayor of Fukushima and the Vice Governor took to the stage to talk about the importance of bicycle culture and the forthcoming UN Climate meeting.

Once the applause had died down, Hottie was on hand to show these dignitaries a bite of Denmark and some danish coziness alongside the Ambassador, while the flashes popped and the motors whirred on the press photographers cameras. No doubt this was the first time they’d tasted a Danish hot dog. The Mayor kindly wrote his hopes for the future in the book of dreams before they very politely, bowed and exited the event in elegant Japanese Style.

Hottie in the countryside
The following day Hottie and the team went to the countryside and were surrounded, 360 degrees, by green green mountains peppered with glittering snow at the very top. The beautiful scenery a perfect backdrop for Hottie to serve hot dogs to famished cyclists, including the superfit Ambassador!

A more genteel event but all in all a very cozy day with about 150 hot dogs served. Again the Japanese took it with a big smile and a bow, while they donated money for the orphanage. Hottie was loaded onto the truck. Hanging in the crane with air under the tires and with a secure hand it was fastened safely. The cameraman ,Michael Colville, always on hand to film the Japanese Style, again with everything under control.

Donations
For the first time we counted the donated money with a little help from the embassies friendly soul Kenneth Tollund, who speaks Japanese. A necessity in a country where most people don’t speak English and most signs are written in Japanese.

All in all we have now collected Yen 162.570 and Euros 15. That converts to about DKR 9.345. Our hope is DKR 13.000 and judging by the generosity of the Japanese people to date, we should reach that amount in Kyoto.

Tomorrow, Friday the 29th of May the Hot Dog Team will join the stage in Hiroshima and Saturday in Imabari. Meanwhile Hottie is on its way to Kyoto to meet us there for the Grand Final. I wonder if I can beat the Ambassador (give him ‘backwheel’ as we say in Denmark) or if all I will give him is Hot Dogs.

At times, I feel overwhelmed that Hottie is in Japan and furthermore getting loads of amazing positive response, its really fantastic and slightly unreal. Hottie stood proudly at the Embassy having arrived on time and intact awaiting Soren, Hot Dog Agent and me, Fanny the Hot Dog Girl. We’d travelled all the way to the Far East to team up again to serve some Danish coziness and happy times.

Hotto Doggo o doozo

The evening before the COP15 Cycling Tour the Danish ambassador Franz-Michael Skjold Mellbin hosted a pre-event for invited VIP’s. Hottie and Team had the honour to serve hot dogs for free to support the orphanage in China. I had my debut in Japanese and amazingly the Japanese guests understood me! My tongue grappled with the unfamiliar words, ending it smoothly with the words Hotto Doggo o doozo "Please, have a hot dog". Over the next couple of hours Tulip sausages and Paaskebroed rolls were handed out and the many prominent guests queued up curiously, wondering about the project.

First stage - Tokyo

On the morning of May 23rd the cycling tour started. Both the Danish ambassador and the former environmental minister of Japan got pedalling. While all the gathered participants headed off, Søren Hot Dog Agent and I went to get Hottie ready for the big day’s event in the centre of Tokyo. The area was full of tents and exhibitions providing info about the Danish cycling culture with special Danish bike designers Christiana Bikes taking centre stage. Even before the midday start time there was already a long impatient line in front of Hottie. The smell of the hot dogs had wafted through the air and the excited Japanese began to get watery mouths without knowing quite what to expect. For most of them it was the first time they were going to bite in a juicy Danish hot dog with all.

Hotto doggo o zenbu

The hot dog race began and the hot dogs flew out of Hottie at the speed of lightning. Soon the line was so long that security had to be called to take control. I guess that’s the Japanese Way! The line of people looked like a never-ending snake and one time Søren Hot Dog Agent counted seventy-three hungry people. Hottie was over-excited. What an incredible success in the center of Tokyo, Japan. Who would have thought it?! I couldn’t see the end of the line and the result was 350 hot dogs in just four hours. At the end we had to stop people from queueing up. The afternoon gave me time enough to practice saying "a hot dog with all" in Japanese… "hotto doggo o zenbu". People waited amazingly patiently in the line, smiling, interested and curious. Displaying more of the Japanese Way! Even when the ambassador went on stage with the 23 mayors from Tokyo, many still stood in line to get a hot dog. The mayors handed over supporting declarations for the Danish politicians to have for the UN Climate meeting in Copenhagen in December.

Successful debut

Everywhere we go the tour is met by the Japanese Way and we there is an enormous amount of helpfulness everywhere we go. Hottie is being safely transported by local drivers and if ever we need any help it’s guaranteed to be right in front of us. Whether it’s is in the metro finding our way about or at the event area needing water for the sausages. Its truly wonderful to be a Hot Dog Girl in Japan.

We have had a very exciting and successful debut in Tokyo. With more than one thousand visitors in the event area. Over 450 hot dogs have been served and two charity boxes are completely full.

My hope is to collect $2500 US – the money we still need to build the orphanage in China. Tomorrow, Monday, Hottie travels to stage three of the cycling tour in Fukushima, and the Hot Dog Team follows in her wake.

Hottie and the Hot Dog Team can already tell stories about juicy hot dogs, big smiles and huge successes to date in the land of the rising sun, ………….’the Japanese Way’. Yet there is more to come….

If you want to see more pictures from Japan just click on the picture above - Enjoy..!

"Bai Bai" – "Goodbye."

Hottie in Japan is supported by the following:

<a href="http://www.paaskebroed.dk/"target="_blank">Paaskebrød

<a href="http://www.tulip.dk/"target="_blank">Tulip

<a href="http://www.dsv.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/ExternalWebGui.IntegratedInternet?content=/documents/DSV_DFDS%20Transport/Integrated%20Internet/External%20Web%20Site%20Repository/DK/DK"target="_blank">DSV

<a href="http://www.centrumturist.dk"target="_blank">Centrum Turist

<a href="http://www.jupiterskilte.dk/"target="_blank">Jupiter Skilte & To Japan. "From Kyoto to Copenhagen" is the headline, that will attract 10.000 Japanese to get on the bike to support the UN Climate Meeting in Copenhagen (COP15). The tour begins the 23rd of May in Tokyo.

Make a difference
The message for the Japanese is, that everyone of us can do something
for the environment and climate. "Be the change you want to see in the
world", says the Danish Ambassador in Tokyo, Franz-Michael S. Mellbin. Fanny Hot Dog
Girl agrees and therefore Hottie has solar panels, diode light bulbs.

Hotttie is ready for a new bike to generate power and Fanny is on the look for environmentally friendly gas. The flight of course is made conbon neutrale and on a poster you can see how much CO2 hot dog infers.

The dream is to inspire to make a positive change for others by doing it. Hottie hands out a bite of Danish culture and collects money for under-funded
charities. And Yes, it is the Danish Tulip sausages and Danish hot
dog buns (Paaskebroed) that will be shared as always with love and a smile.
Unfortunately theres is no remoulade, which is really Danish and
impossible to import to Japan.

Charity
In 2008 and 2009 all the donated money will be given to the project
"coming home" in the city Zhengzhou in Henan Province, China. One home
for 4-8 kids and two caregivers costs approximately 13,000 US Dollars and the goal for the Hot Dog Stand is to build at least one home. In total we now have app. 10,500 US Dollars.

To build the home we are collaborating with the charity Morning Tears. www.morningtears.com Morning Tears works primarily for children whose parents are sentenced to death or who serve a long prison sentence. Morning Tears gives them hope for the future.

Stages
The ambassador will join the expected 10.000 cyclists on the tour
together with well known politicians and celebrities. After the last stage in
Copenhagen supporting statements about a better climate from the
Japanese environmental minister will be handed over to the Danish
environmental minister Connie Hedegaard.

Hottie will be in Tokyo, Fukushima and Kyoto, hand out free hot dogs
all afternoon and collect money for the orphanage in China. They get no respect and acceptance from society and if they didn’t have the opportunity to stay with the Morning Tears, they would end up in the streets, homeless. Even in the children home they can not be in peace. The kids we visited were recently beaten by the people from the local village – both by children and adults. Now a wire fence surrounds the home.

Despite their tough background we were welcomed to Dong Zhou Children Village with smiles and arms in the air. Dong Zhou has approximately 500 inhabitants and is close to the huge city of Xian. What a welcome. 42 kids live there in the age between 3 years and 18 years, both girls and boys.

They need to learn how to live with the trauma caused by losing their parents. In most cases a parent has been killed by the other parent usually victims of their partners abuse. The state will sentence the parent to death or 21 years in prison for murder – if they can proof they acted in self defence.

Mostly the mother kills the father after years with abuse and often the kids have been abused as well. Morning Tears takes care of these kids that nobody else in China wants anything to do with. They make sure they get a place to stay, which means they can attend the local school. They give them hope for the future.

Further more they treat their traumas and do every thing they possibly can to get the kids back on their feet. Morning Tears fight for the right to let the kids visit their parent in prison. In that way they can stay in contact, because despite the tragedy the kids love their parent.

If a parent is being executed, Morning Tears arranges a visit to say goodbye. These kids have to deal with a whole lot from a very young age - issues that no one should ever have to experience.

It makes a lot of sense that the organisation, that helps these kids, is named Morning Tears.

Fanny Hot Dog Girl in Chinese
”Wo de mèng xiang shì zhòu yoú shi jie lai gu lì bié ren gèng hao shèng huó yòng dàn mài rè gou hot dog laí zhì chì chì shàn”.

I had my debut in Chinese. Helen Hot Dog Agent translated the text and the kids understood my humble attempt to speak their language. With both laughter and help throughout.

Translated to English:
My dream is to travel around the world and inspire to make a positive change for others and do it by handing out Danish hot dogs to support charity

Dreams
When I went to the kitchen, the kids surrounded the book of dreams and a couple of them drew in it at a time. In the primitive kitchen I made my self at home and found very different implements than I am used to. I sent a thought to Hottie, while I unpacked our suitcases and found sausages, bread etc. Hottie would have loved the kids. And the kids would have loved Hottie. No doubt!

The sausages went into a Chinese type of cooking pot and the microwave heated up the bread. I asked for a fork for the pickles and they gave me chop sticks. Oh well, new approaches are always good to try and this is China!

Popular hot dogs
When the sausages were ready to be served, the kids lined up in the kitchen pretty quick. I got help from some of the caregivers and together we served hot dogs `with all` to the kids. They also got Chocolate milk, busily slurping as they went into the eating room. We sat together and had a cosy time with Danish hot dogs and chit chat hot dog talk. In the middle of China. Together with kids, who really need help and where a little can make a big difference.

The biggest challenge right now is to pay the dept they have from buying food – RMB 77.000 (approx. 8.000 Euros). They spend RMB 9 per kid per day. (approx. 1,30 Euros) Usually the province pays the bill at the end of the year. This year the province had to send money to the earth quake province and therefore they don’t want to give money to Morning Tears. That money Morning Tears have to get from somewhere else.

A passionate soul
Koen Sevenants, Founder and General Director of Morning Tears, gets half of his salary from the Belgium state. The rest come from donations. The few donations Morning Tears receive are from businesses, individuals, the Belgium state and the province, where the
children home is. Some of their employees work for food, shelter and a low salary. The rest is volunteers.

Koen has chosen to take care of these kids, and in doing so exposed his passionate soul. He has been involved in this since 1999 and has known some of the kids just as long. When he is in Xian, he lives together with some of the most vulnerable kids in an apartment in the centre of the city. It is very clear that he has a warm and caring relationship with the kids of criminal parents.

Tour de children home
After a bite of Danish culture some of the girls took me by the hand and showed me around. Girls’ rooms, boys’ rooms, the shower, the library, the study room, TV room, which is an old TV and two stools in a stone cold room. Autumn was on its way and the air was chilly. I noticed the rooms had no doors and were missing some windows.
It will be very cold in the winter if nothing is done.

At the moment they cannot afford to make any repairs or improvements. Without windows and doors in the house, it will be very cold when the temperature drops to minus 15 degrees. Despite that, the winter cold is easier to handle than the summer heat according to the kids.

While we were walking around, the other kids were playing on the playground and with the little toys they have. Some played table tennis and some with a hula hoop. Despite everything the kids seem really appreciative for what they have got. For the kids in this situation, to have a place to live, sleep and eat is better than nothing.

The ugly duckling
At the end of the visit before Søren Hot Dog Agent, who was the photographer of the day, and I, Fanny Hot Dog Girl left, I asked one of the caregivers to read a story for the kids from the total collection of H.C. Andersen fairytales. I chose “The ugly duckling” to remind us that even though we are different, we all have the potential to become a beautiful swan.

The kids all know the fairytales of H.C. Andersen and love them. Together we listened to the Chinese version, while the kids drank Cocio’s chocolate milk

Before leaving the kids sang the English version of the ABC…and their very own song about being who they are and their situation. It was very touching to see their happy faces sing.

Wauv, I really think these kids are amazing. They smile; they play and made me feel so welcome, despite the tough reality they live in.

I told them that the direction that does not begin in the heart is a dead end and one of the girls wrote in the book of dreams: ”Thanks, I´m very happy. You gave me a good time. I want to become a country leader in the future. I want to help others like you. I hope that it will come true.” Another one wrote: “Love made us meet and be together”.

A huge difference
When we drove out through the gate, 42 smiling kids were waving. See you, some kids had said. You are welcome to come back…their words were crashing around in my mind. Do we? Are we able to? Are we able not to?

There is no doubt that the help, we are trying to give to Morning Tears and the kids that are going to live in the home in Henan Province, will make a huge difference to needy souls in a society that has turned its back on them.

No matter geography, age, childhood, social class, colour and religion there is one thing in common….. we all have dreams. One of the kids writes very touching and precise: “We all belong to one family.”

More Pictures

If you want to see more pictures from Shanghai just go to this link. http://www.kontutto.com/?id=21332

The hotdogstand is sponsored by following companies:
<a href=" http://www.dsv.com"target="_blank">DSV
<a href=" http://www.hummel.dk"target="_blank">Hummel
<a href="http://www.paaskebroed.dk/"target="_blank">Paaskebrød
<a href=" http://www.tulip.dk/"target="_blank">Tulip
<a href=" http://www.kaffe-clothing.com/"target="_blank">Kaffe Clothing
<a href=" http://www.grundfos.dk/"target="_blank">Grundfos
<a href=" http://www.centrumturist.dk"target="_blank">Centrum Turist
<a href=" http://www.almbrand.dk"target="_blank">Alm. A bit too nosy Chinese people crawled in the window of Hottie and halfway in, they made photos of the stand, with great attention from both the police and the media, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the Prime Minister came to visit and dear Hottie had to go back onto the same truck that didn’t have any ramps. This is China.

The Human behind the Prime MinisterAfter a successful weekend with a constant line and a lot of acknowledging smiles from curious Chinese people, the Hot Dog Team was ready to meet the human behind the Danish Prime Minister. We were very interested in knowing, what his dream is. Hottie and the Team dream is to inspire people to make a positive change for others – we wonder what Anders dreams of?

At 2pm we had to leave the area to let the police and their (hot) dogs search the buildings. Afterwards only people with an invitation could get in through a metal detector.

The delegation arrives
Hottie stood energized, gorgeous and very ready for the highlight of the night. To serve hot dogs for the human behind our Prime Minister and the Danish exhibitors after Hummel’s fashion show. Beside that it was the last time Hottie would serve hot dogs in China. Unfortunately she cannot come to Xi’an, when the Hot Dog Team go there to hand out hot dogs at two of Morning Tears’ infant homes.

Then the delegation came. Ceo’s from the biggest companies in Denmark, security and of course both the Danish and Chinese media. They passed the hot dog stand for the first time and went into the exhibition hall, where the Prime Minister shook hands with Junckers, Kaffe Clothing, Hummel and the other participating companies

Hold your breath
After the speeches, canapés, and Hummel’s fashion show the Prime Minister passed Hottie for the third time and this time maybe he would stop. The Hot Dog Team and Hottie held their breath…he came closer and and and… and he passed. He had a press meeting. We took a deep breath and the other Danes stood in line and hungered for a hot dog. Most were drawling for a hot dog and had done it since the afternoon. Now the scent of hot dogs was floating in the air and we heard one good excuse after the other why they should have hot dog before the Prime Minister.

Who should have known that we are THAT popular in China?

Ready steady for the Prime Minister
Another 15 minutes passed before the Prime Minister came in sight again and steered towards Hottie. I, Fanny Hot Dog Girl had a warm hot dog ready together with Søren and Helen Hot Dog Agents. Smiling and full of cosiness we welcomed him.
I introduced myself as Fanny Hot Dog Girl with the World’s most travelled hot dog stand that supports charity. Søren Hot Dog Agent told that we this time support the building of a infant home in Henan Province and Helen said she is the local Hot Dog Agent. Then I told him that our dream is to inspire to make a positive change for others and that we have a book for our dreams. That book we will bring to the infant kids in Xi’an. Amongst others one of Shanghai’s mayors and ceo of Hummel, Christian Stadil have written in it.

Smiling Anders Fogh accepted the challenge and YES, he also accepted the hot dog and happily took a bite. Probably because all hot dogs from Hottie are served with love and a smiling eyes. When he wrote in the book, I suddenly noticed the circle of security guards surrounding us. Even through the backdoor I looked straight into the eyes of a guard. WOW!!

The dream of the Prime MinisterOne of them pulled my sleeve and whispered that they were 25 minutes late and the road was closed. They could not open it until the Prime minister had passed it, so the Chinese organizers were getting a bit impassioned. Anders Fogh Rasmussen wrote: ”My dream is a world with more freedom, peace, prosperity and intercultural understanding”.

After that we thanked him for swinging by and wished for him a great trip in China. Wauv, he really spent a lot of time with us and we felt very honoured. For sure we can thank the organizers of Creative Industry Week and especially our Hot Dog Angel Mette Knudsen, consul of Commerce for this to happen - this and the trip to China overall to happen with genuine Danish goods and a genuine Danish Hot dog stand. It is definitely not easy.

The Hot Dog Stand at the afterpartyThe crowd in front of Hottie was excited and when the Prime Minister left the cosy athmosphere and went away in the night, we declared free hot dogs for everyone. Wauv, people were eager. Søren PølseAgent had to assist me in the stand, while Helen suggested the visitors to donate money for the infant home.

What a Hot Dog Party. That night and all the other times we had open in Shanghai. take a look a the pictures in the gallery : <a href=" http://www.kontutto.com/?id=21332"target="_blank">Pictures from Shanghai

The hotdogstand is sponsored by following companies:
<a href=" http://www.dsv.com"target="_blank">DSV
<a href=" http://www.hummel.dk"target="_blank">Hummel
<a href="http://www.paaskebroed.dk/"target="_blank">Paaskebrød
<a href=" http://www.tulip.dk/"target="_blank">Tulip
<a href=" http://www.kaffe-clothing.com/"target="_blank">Kaffe Clothing
<a href=" http://www.grundfos.dk/"target="_blank">Grundfos
<a href=" http://www.centrumturist.dk"target="_blank">Centrum Turist
<a href=" http://www.almbrand.dk"target="_blank">Alm. I thought it was New York and it is actually Shanghai. People bike, work on the streets and buildings, play cards in an alley, hang out with friends, sing karaoke and party all night. It is also the city where people wear their pyjamas in the streets. This is China. Maybe we should try that in Denmark?!

All of a sudden one, two, three or more mobile food stands are in a hurry, because the police are nearby. They leave a trace of smoke and it smells deliciously. It is not legal to be everywhere in the City with a food stand. There is a lot and they get around attached to a bike or by foot. The ones by foot reminds me of the hot dog stands, we all know from the 1920’es, when the hot dog stand invaded Denmark.

The Chinese food stands serve primarily meat and vegetables on sticks, noodles and emlets. Once I tasted something that reminded me of a hot dog. The sausage was wrapped in a pancake with an egg on top and sauces. A different experience and I could tell it wasn’t a sausage from Tulip

Chinese Hot Dog Angel
Saturday the 18th of October we stood in front of the danish house to Creative Industry Week and to be 100% ready steady we got our Hot Dog Flyer printet in Chinese. It happened in the late hours the day before, only because our Chinese Hot Dog Angel Helen can do magic.

Helen is Chinese and speak fluent English. She knows a lot, I mean a lot of people in this city and with her phone, she can get things in a very short time. Svupti wupti and then that’s done. Other than that she is very valuable, when we communicate with the Chinese, who rarely can speak very little English. That Saturday she stood in front of Hottie and told the people that our dream is to inspire to make a positive change by handing out hot dogs for free and collect money for abandoned kids in Henan Province.

Nihao má? – Kaila?
How are you? – happy? From Hottie I could see many happy faces and I saw the line looking like a snake with about 30 Chinese people in the line during the two hours. They came to the hot dog stand with curious eyes and appreciative nods. At the end we had to write a sign in Chinese and close the line.

Wauv. What an overwhelming success. Sweaty by the warm pans I handed out hot dogs with a speed of record. About 350 in two hours and only with help from Hot Dog Agent Søren I did it. He prepared a bread with a sausage, so I could add Flüggers color scheme, teeth, dried skin and åkander…with the hot dog we served Cocio Chocolate milk and Rosenkilde Aqua. The water proved helpful with up to 25 degrees. Pyhhhh.

The same scenario played on Sunday, when we once more opened Hottie in a couple of hours. This time with no more than five local Hot Dog Agents. Helen wes there again and brought a previous celebrity in China and musician, a professor and artist plus a couple of designers. They were all inspired to make a positive change og they were really helpful. Happy, smiling and enthusiastic they spread the word about Hottie’s dream and the home we wish to build for abandoned kids in Henan Province together with Morning Tears. Hottie truly appreciated our local Hot Dog Agents, because then Søren Hot Dog Agent and I, Fanny Hot Dog Girl could race the sun in shining on the people.

The minute before we serve the hot dogs the Hot Dog Team sings: Kina skal man ikke grin’a” // Don’t laugh of China, which is an old Danish song. Our local Hot Dog Agents can now sing it – they are really good at copying. This is China.

Girl Power
A young Chinese woman said ”Girl Power”, when I handed her a hot dog. I smiled and Hottie danced of joy. They really have received the concept well and some thank us for coming to their country to help their kids.

More Pictures

If you want to see more pictures from Shanghai just go to this link. http://www.kontutto.com/?id=21332

The hotdogstand is sponsored by following companies:
<a href=" http://www.dsv.com"target="_blank">DSV
<a href=" http://www.hummel.dk"target="_blank">Hummel
<a href="http://www.paaskebroed.dk/"target="_blank">Paaskebrød
<a href=" http://www.tulip.dk/"target="_blank">Tulip
<a href=" http://www.kaffe-clothing.com/"target="_blank">Kaffe Clothing
<a href=" http://www.grundfos.dk/"target="_blank">Grundfos
<a href=" http://www.centrumturist.dk"target="_blank">Centrum Turist
<a href=" http://www.almbrand.dk"target="_blank">Alm. Is a saying Søren Hot Dog Agent and I, Fanny Hot Dog Girl has heard a lot since we came Friday the 11th of October. Most challenging was, when Hottie, seven hours later than expected, came on an old truck and had flat tires.

It was full moon and 7pm the day before our debut in China. The driver, who was a local, had no ramp and a lift was nowhere to be found. He only spoke Chinese and told us with body language that we could take it down with 10-20 persons and then he went out for dinner. This is China.

Challenge or not – we were very happy that Hottie had arrived. The day after we were to have our debut at 11.30am when the media visited the Danish House at Shanghai Creative Industry Week 2008. In total seven countries are represented on 10.000 m2. Denmark, Australia, Netherlands, Germany, Taiwan, Hong Kong, New Zealand and China. Denmark has 2500 m2 and 50 companies participate.

Wauv, it is so lucky that I have a creative Hot Dog Agent on the team. Just like that and with help from one, two, three, four and at a time eight Chinese persons he created a solid ramp to get Hottie down. The posters came up last before vi drove “home” to get 2½ hours sleep. Now we just missed the sausages.

We got to know that our goods were through the customs when we came Friday the 11th. Despite that it was Monday, then Tuesday morning and then Tuesday afternoon before they were released and still we needed a stamp. Some other Danish exhibitors still hadn’t got their, so we were among the lucky ones. This is China.

There is no doubt that only because of DSV’s and the Danish Consulate’s hard work, the 15th of October 2008 we could serve hot dogs with all for the first time in Asia, for the first time in China, for the first time in Shanghai.

Hottie on a pedestal
Hottie came down the truck and then up again. This time on a podium in the middle of the foyer to the Danish, Dutch and German Houses. The area is full of Danish design furniture and is designed as café and lounge.

At 11.30am we served hot dogs from a shiny Hottie, that was energized from cosiness. All the exhibitors were in place and it was the media that came to search for good stories. Without a doubt they noticed this piece of Danish culture that has come all the way to Shanghai to support a home for abandoned kids in China.

First visitor was our own consul-General Carsten Boyer Thøgersen and after that curious Chinese people came to Hottie to get a Danish hot dog and to support Kids.
Two volunteers from Morning Tears came together with a translater to communicate our dream and purpose.

For a couple of hours hot dogs were served and the Danish Consul Commercial Mette Knudsen came with her team. Mette was the one who took initiative to get Hottie to China, so she absolutely deserved a hot dog from Hottie that always serves with love.

Shanghais mayor and unpredictability
Later that afternoon Hottie went outside in a beautiful and warm fall night. The opening ceremony was outside the Danish House from a stage. The smell of hot dogs wandered out and when we started about 20 Chinese people stood in line right away. In the middle of light, music, speeches and firework for about 3000 people we served hot dogs while people donated Chinese RMB for the kids.

After about an hour we were going up the red carpet to be at the entrance to the VIP-reception. The mayor of Shanghai and the top of the communist party came, so media and lots of guards. As promised we stood by the entrance and the hot dogs were jumping of excitement on the pans. It went very well until a Chinese guard came in our way.

He guarded the entrance and didn’t know about a Danish hot dog stand. We ran around trying to navigate in the Chaos, while he tried to pull Hottie away. After some Hottie-pulling and no luck to change the situation, Hottie was taken 40 meters away by four Chinese guards.

Too bad for us and at the same time we acknowledged the guards for doing such a good job keeping the entrance secure. Imagine if the mayor had a bite of Danish culture – he might end up having a cosy time.

What a debut
The world’s most travelled hot dog stand has now for the first time served hot dogs in Shanghai to Chinese people, who all appreciate what we do and with great pleasure ate Danish hot dogs with all.
There is no doubt. Chinese people really like our delicious hot dogs, Hottie, the idea, the concept and that we support kids in China. Danes living in China have been longing for a tasty and genuine Danish hot dog.

Hottie and the Hot dog Team are very proud after a glorious debut and is looking forward handing out hot dogs both Saturday and Sunday and Tuesday when our Danish Hot Dog minister…ah no our Prime Minister is visiting together with the Shanghai Mayor. We will get a second chance to meet him.

Next week we will go to Xi’an, the second oldest city in China, to seve hot dogs for a Morning Tears children’s village.

Nihâo, Zàijiàn, Bù kéqi, hot dog quan bu – Fanny PølseWoman Xièxie nî – Thank you so much

The hotdogstand is sponsored by following companies:
<a href=" http://www.dsv.com"target="_blank">DSV
<a href=" http://www.hummel.dk"target="_blank">Hummel
<a href="http://www.paaskebroed.dk/"target="_blank">Paaskebrød
<a href=" http://www.tulip.dk/"target="_blank">Tulip
<a href=" http://www.kaffe-clothing.com/"target="_blank">Kaffe Clothing
<a href=" http://www.grundfos.dk/"target="_blank">Grundfos
<a href=" http://www.centrumturist.dk"target="_blank">Centrum Turist
<a href=" http://www.almbrand.dk"target="_blank">Alm. Since 2003 I have been touring Europe with The Danish
Hot Dog Stand and last year we crossed the USA from New York
to Los Angeles. More recently we visited Le Mans, France.
Now the Hot Dog Stand and I are in Shanghai attending the
International Creative Industry Week to support the building of a
home for abandoned kids in China. This happens in close
collaboration with the Royal Danish Consulate General in
Shanghai.

Charity
To build the home we collaborate with the organization Morning
Tears that are run by volunteers and we will visit some of the kids
in Shanghai with the Hot Dog Stand.
Morning Tears rebuilds the world for children who have suffered
or are suffering heavy emotional pain. www.morningtears.com
In 2008 all the donated money will be given to the project
“coming home” in the city Zhengzhou in Henan Province, China.
One home for 4-8 kids and two caregivers costs approximately
9.400 Euros and the goal for the Hot Dog Stand is to build at
least one home.
Morning Tears works primarily for children whose parents are
sentenced to death or who serve a long prison sentence.
Morning Tears has signed in a friendly spirit cooperation
agreements with the Chinese authorities to carry out the project
´coming home – after the death sentence of a parent’.
Children whose parents are executed suffer tremendous
emotional pains. Besides their trauma they have to cope with
stigmas and prejudices from society. Often nobody wants to take
care of them because children of convicts are themselves
considered as criminals. These children bring bad luck. Nobody
wants to take care of them and they end up on street.
The general objective of the project is to provide home-based
care for 120 Morning Tears children. These children will be
provided with homes where they can heal from their traumas,
strengthen their resilience and fully develop their potentials.
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_kb6w7gpXV5M/SOxn8Gwo5HI/AAAAAAAAAEw/r_kuFArZkfY/s320/morningtearslarge.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5254689147538957426" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_kb6w7gpXV5M/SOxn0q0f12I/AAAAAAAAAEo/X4_ASrJO_wc/s320/sponsortavlestorweb.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5254689019779864418" />

The hotdogstand is sponsored by following companies:
<a href=" http://www.dsv.com"target="_blank">DSV
<a href=" http://www.hummel.dk"target="_blank">Hummel
<a href="http://www.paaskebroed.dk/"target="_blank">Paaskebrød
<a href=" http://www.tulip.dk/"target="_blank">Tulip
<a href=" http://www.kaffe-clothing.com/"target="_blank">Kaffe Clothing
<a href=" http://www.grundfos.dk/"target="_blank">Grundfos
<a href=" http://www.centrumturist.dk"target="_blank">Centrum Turist
<a href=" http://www.almbrand.dk"target="_blank">Alm. Who do you think is fastest?

World’s most travelled Hot Dog Stand is right now in the Expo-Camp with Motorsportsrejser less than 200 meters from the main entrance of Le Mans 2008.

Thursday night saw the Hot Dog Team head out to K-Travel’s camp. Hottie proudly stood outside the main tent, where over 1500 happy Danes were having a racing good time. Once the hot dogs were ready, Fanny Hot Dog Girl, went on stage, interrupted the band and spread the message, officially opening the Hot Dog Stand. For 45 minutes free hot dogs and Cocios were served, and people readily donated money for this year’s charity – to build a school in China. This exciting project will be realized in collaboration with the group ‘Engineers Without Boarders’.

Danish race drivers in Hottie
Friday was the big Hot Dog race day, the Danish drivers would come to Motorsportsrejser´s camp and take up the Hot Dog Race challenge. Hottie glowed from excitement, while the Hot Dog Team made it ready for the big day. Red sausages were put on the pans and the delicious smells were blowing in the wind, the bread toaster had a test lap while the solar panels on the roof made power for Hottie’s lights.

And then it happened…right after the drivers’ interviews on stage the Hot Dog Agents grabbed them one by one and Fanny Hot Dog Girl challenged them to make a hot dog with all in less than 24 seconds. By lining up on the hot dog start line they supported the building of a school in China.

After a short introduction the drivers could make a mental Hot Dog ‘practice lap’ before the stopwatch started. A hot dog with all á la race coming up…

The flag dropped and they were off to a flying start…
You’d have thought they had been doing it for years!. Fanny Hot Dog Girl was really impressed over the speed and is convinced that they are able to transfer the speed from the race track to the Hot Dog Stand. With a steady hand and 100% focus Allan Simonsen won the Hot Dog Race.

Results
Allan Simonsen 15 seconds
Lars Erik Nielsen 20 seconds
Jan Magnussen 22 seconds
Kasper Elgaard 23,8 seconds
John Nielsen 26 seconds

Voluntary Le Mans Hot Dog Team
Hot Dog Agent Pernille Morthensen
Hot Dog Agent Gavin Northover
Hot Dog Girl Fanny Posselt

Offset Hot Dog Agent Claudio Amdisen

Contact person Hot Dog Girl Fanny Posselt / 3062 5530

www.worldsmosttravelledhotdogstand.blogspot.com & www.poelsevognen.net

Le Mans here we come

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_kb6w7gpXV5M/SE7wVyv1wGI/AAAAAAAAAEI/UcQBS7AE3BY/s320/sponsortavletilblog2+copy.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210366076104589410" /><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_kb6w7gpXV5M/SE7wKoOM64I/AAAAAAAAAEA/UtlmQfSSVds/s320/p%C3%B8llemedbus.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210365884300585858" />Hottie left yesterday pulled by a bus from Motorsportsrejser, while the Hot Dog Agents and I are getting ready to leave for Le Mans tomorrow. It had a safe trip with DSV from Los Angeles to the harbour of its home town, Aarhus. For now Hottie is taking a break and relaxing a bit before the new adventures in 2008. The plan is so far to visit Oslo, Norway; Le Mans, France; London, England; OL in Beijing.

You can download the fantastic album USA coast2coast 2007 at www.prefueled.com under unsigned. All that money goes to kids with arthritis. Well, we got Hottie off the trailer with only one visit from the police, took Hottie to the door and got it sqeezed in, pyhhh, we made it!

Among fancy TV's and stereos of high quality Hottie stood proud and smiling ready to rock and roll for the last time in the USA.

Last event in LA

Friday the 12th of October, 11.30am - 2.30pm at Bang & Olufsen, Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills 90210. After searching for it a couple of hours and being sent to one place after another that did not have it, we gave up. We did order some loooong time ago and expected it to show up in Elk Horn. It did four days too late and then we were gone. Thomas from Elk Horn tried to send it to LA, but you have to be licenced to send Methanol. Bummer!

Not having methanol it is great that our bike is up and running and many people sat on the bike that day in Beverly Hills. The Danish Film Festival Reception was hosted by Niels Christian Uhrenholt from the Trade Commission of Denmark here in LA and approx. 100 people were invited.

Standing in the drive way we could welcome the guests when they arrived and let them know about us and our cause. Everybody was positively surprised when they saw us, said it looked really cozy and that they would definately come back. The Hot Dog Agents Tina, Søren and Lee had made it really really nice with candle light and music from the charity CD. Lee also made remoulade, Yummi!

Vincent Van Go Go played at the reception and fine cuisine were served by the pool.

Despite the cuisine some people said that we were the best that night and a wonderful ingredient to the fancy reception. Even one of the Chefs, Al, said that everybody in the kitchen loved the hot dogs; he brought down some of their food and the Hot Dog Team loved that! Typical.

Well, during that night I was honored by many happy faces that spread some good energy. Mads Mikkelsen came by and asked me if I remembered what kind of onions he likes....uhhh raw, I said and it was right. He told me that thursday night, when I bumped into him at Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. I am so glad I remembered. Pyhhh. He ordered a heated Cocio and said he would be back.

In the meantime Anders Mattesen came by to enjoy a hot dog together with some friends. Kristian Riis from Nephew and Janus from Vincent Van Go Go both had their debut as a Hot Dog Man. They both did it sooooo well, I was really proud and we had a great time in Hottie serving Hot Dogs to happy people, who think that the project is very very cool.

Then came Torsten Jansen, Head of Press, Culture and Information at the Danish Embassy in Washington DC. He just wanted to stop by to say hello....all of a sudden he was in the hot dog stand making hot dogs and he himself was surprised. Then he sat on the bike generating a loooooot of power for the battery - I think he is used to biking, cause waauuv he could bike. Last but not least he enjoyed a hot dog and then he was even more surprised, cause all he wanted was to say hello. Magic, I think it is the Hottie Magic. The kind of Magic that fills you up with joy, energy and good vibes - the Magic that attracts you..the Hottie Magic...Yeahhh

When the Cocio was almost boiling Mr. Mikkelsen came to have his hot dog with raw onions and heated cocio. We chatted and talked about meeting the next time in Beijing to the Olympics 2008, because of course he is gonna qualify for that...descipline...hmmm I suggested "stangspring" he thought it would be 800 meters, well, we will see.

It was a cosy night and I saw a lot af smiling faces saying that we are really cool, doing this for kids with arthritis. It makes me warm when people say that.

I am proud of my Hot Dog Team that once again kicked ass and made the night memorable for a lot of people including myself. Thank you, my special Hot Dog Agents Tina, Søren and Lee.

Meeting Mads Mikkelsen in Hollywood

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_kb6w7gpXV5M/RwdHpymvB1I/AAAAAAAAACo/oUM-zQ7m6Q0/s320/usa+coast2coast+66+-+Version+2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118138284814305106" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_kb6w7gpXV5M/RwdHqCmvB2I/AAAAAAAAACw/38aCOldTPP8/s320/usa+coast2coast+96+-+Version+2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118138289109272418" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_kb6w7gpXV5M/RwdHqSmvB3I/AAAAAAAAAC4/9MoM4gp-ruo/s320/usa+coast2coast+107+-+Version+2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118138293404239730" />
The Hot Dog Team entered on thursday the 4th of october the Roosevelt Hotel with keyhangers, Cocio, caps and charity cds. The Danish Film Festival had the opening Galla Party and approx. 600 people were invited and my good music friends Vincent Van GO GO gave a concert. Grrrrrrreat!

Unfortunately Hottie could not go with us - Roosevelt Hotel said no even though June, manager of the Film Festival fought to the very end for us. Too bad, people would have loved Hottie as a cosy contrast to all the fancy pancy stuff.

We told people about USA coast2coast and they loved the story. Some got keyhangers and some got a cd or a cap. Roosevelt did not like the Cocios, so they stayed under the table. Only Sven Ole Thorsen got two to take home.

During the night I bumped into Mads Mikkelsen, I introduced myself and he said that he heard about us. Waauuv! Isn't that cool! I also had the pleasure to shake hands with Sven Ole Thorsen - he is a super nice and cool guy! Yeah! Tina and I sat down beside Anden, "The Duck", Anders Mattesen and had a chat with him about our tour and a bit about his film "Terkel in trouble". He looked really good in his suit. Wuuw!

Well, it was a great night and we met soooooo many really nice people who were very welcoming. Oh yeahh I also said hello to the man behind "Who killed the electrical car" - if you know that movie...

Time to go to bed, tomorrow we are going to Beverly Hills with Hottie. 90210, sounds so cool!

How are things going?

Well, if I look at the goals, here is how we are doing.

Goals USA coast 2coast

Generate power for the Hot Dog Stand from a bike - I have the bike and it works.

Visit Today´s `Morning Show` and `Oprah Winfrey` - I have been in contact with Oprah's senior producer of the content and he is waiting for some material from me. Your kindness, warmth and willingness to share is overwhelming.

We are now in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Taken from http://www.usatourist.com/english/places/newmexico/santafe.html:
With 65,000 residents, Santa Fe is New Mexico’s third largest city. It was originally settled by Spaniards before 1607, and is now the oldest state capital city in the United States.

Denver, Colorado

With a little help from my new Hot Dog Friend.

Uhhh I feeeeel good, du du du du du du, I feeeeeel good, la la la la

What a wonderful feeling it is to watch Hottie cruise through the USA to support children with arthritis. It is an undescribable feeling to live out my dream. It's fantastic, crazy, surrealistic, cozy, warm..it is like falling in love. First I couldn't eat, I didn't sleep much and I couldn't think of anything but Hottie in the USA. It tickles in my stomach, my eyes smile and I have a hard time talking about anything else. I am happy.

The day today
16 hours in the car, on a totally straight road in the mittle of nothing..sorry in the mittle of Nebraska. They said it was flat and boring - they were absolutely right. It is quite an experience though to see these parts of USA. To get a feeling of how different it is and how big this country is.

After spending the day on the road, I and the Hot Dog Team have now checked in at the Holiday Inn Hotel to get some rest. Two really nice women, Beverly Wofford and Bobbi, that came to support us at the Hot Dog Party in Elk Horn, used their magic stick and swupti then we had a nice and cosy bed to sleep in tonight in Denver.

These women privately donated two hotel rooms - sometimes I have to pinsh my arm to realize that this is really true. Wooooow, I mean..this is just some amazing women, who decide to share and thereby make a difference to us and the charity tour.

Thank you! You are wonderful.

Together with Hottie and the Team I have decided to spend one day in Denver. Hot Dog Agent Tina and I have really worked hard to create an event with the Denver Broncos - unfortunately without any luck. Bummer!

We are now half way through the tour and we all need a break from the computers, telephones and the car. This nice man Christian Christensen has opened up his home to us and we will spend the sunday looking at the mountains and getting our bodies recharged. We really need that!

It's now 2am at night and I am ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Elk Horn, Iowa

Wuuuuuuw, what a wonderful world, full of wonderful and warm people. Every where I go, I meet embracing people, who want to do the best they can to support us and the cause. This time we arrived in Elk Horn and the great Thomas Hansen and Lisa Riggs Welcomed us with open arms. Thomas is Director of Development at The Danish Immigrant Museum here in Elk Horn and he is an amazing man, who has a fantastic energy and like us never never never never give up. Lisa Riggs is the head of the wind mill and is a very warm and giving person.

I thought St. Charles was a small town...this place has 600 enhabitants and is reeeeeeally quiet. Ahhh peaceful and flat as Denmark.

BUT, the minute the Hot Dog Stand was on the grass in front of the old Danish Wind Mill - importet from Nørre Snede, Denmark - people started to show up and so did the newspapers and a TV station. At 12am sharp there was a huge line and I had to make 120 hot dogs per hour to keep up with the line, fast fast fast fast. Only because I have my efficient Hot Dog Team with me, I could do that.

The sun was shining, people were chatting and laughing, we were all smiling, the birds sang, the music album was playing out loud...Hottie and the Hot Dog Team were rocking in Elk Horn.

The Mayor Howard Sørensen came and had his debut as a Hot Dog Man. His grandparents came to the States from Denmark. He is born and raised in the USA, but when he visited his grandparents his grandmother spoke only Danish, so he had to learn.

Howard did not run for the election, he was chosen by the community and asked to become the mayor. That is so cool. He gotta be an inspiring and respected man. I definately felt his warmth and good spirit - and he made a perfect hot dog, what more does a Hot Dog Woman want, ha ha.

After six hours and 480 Hot Dogs and a lot of good chats with people from all over this area, I closed down Hottie.

People came from up to two hours drive from here, just to visit us. They read about it in the news papers and heard it on the radio.

What a wonderful feeling, Elk Horn, Iowa.

Hitting the road again. Next stop Denver, Colorado to spend the night before moving on to LA.

Huge Hot Dog Party in ST. A peaceful and quiet place in the countryside. We got our own old house in a really cozy atmosphere and when we parked the car, the neighbour sat around the fire listening to "Sweet home Alabama". We all smiled and felt good inside - this was definately different from NYC.

Sunday around 250 Danes and Americans came to a party at Mid West Ground Covers, which is a huge place started by the Dane Peter Ørum and his lovely wife Irma.

The Hot Dog Stand was rocking and so were the Hot Dog Team and I. For 3 hours I did nothing else but served hot dogs to excited people. The songs from the music album played in the background, the sun was shining and everything was just perfect for a Hot Dog Party to support children with arthritis.

Uhhh every time I looked at the line it was as big as before. I served and served and served and served and the line did not seem to moove at all. Great, I love it.

Well, monday we went to Mid West Ground Covers again to serve hot dogs and this time to the employees. It was a really nice day where I got to talk to the local people working and living in the area of St Charles. Nice people.

By the way, we got the car and that is wonderful. What we didn't know was that a lepricorn lived in the car and all it has done since we left NYC is to tease us. First the windows couldn't go up and down, then the light didn't work and when the light worked again the radio didn't work. Hmmm then we got the windows fixed and we all celebrated it by taking the windows down....and then they were stuck again. Grrrr...

On thursday we head towards Danish Immigrant Museum in Elk Horn, Iowa.

A big hello and lots of smiles from the Hot Dog Team to all of you.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://worldsmosttravelledhotdogstand.blogspot.com/2007/09/huge-hot-dog-party-in-st-charles.html' title='Huge Hot Dog Party in ST. After struggeling with the transport of the Hot Dog Stand for three days it finally finally arrived in NYC. And only with Agent Søren's great creativity, stubborness and handy man skills and by taking the wheels off the stand so it fit in the trailer, we made it just in time to serve Hot Dogs at the Hilton Hotel on Manhattan at Creative Nations promotion event.
Wet eyes .. when Søren came driving in the streets of New York Ciy I was so touched that I cried a bit. To see my Hot Dog Stand in the US and in NYC was unbelievable and a dream coming true. I have felt a pressure in my stomach the last couple of days and not been able to eat properly, that pressure disappeared right there on the spot when I saw my beauty. Together with the Team I cheered and jumped of happiness and relief - even Søren got wet eyes.
Getting the Hot Dog Stand ready in about two hours required effective Team work. My incredible Team even did it in a totally relaxed and cosy way so we were ready for the guests at the conference in their afternoon break. Ready for the first round of Hot Dogs served with love.
Unfortunately the Crown Prince of Denmark left before we got ready, AARRRRGGHHHGGG, BUT hey the Crown Princess of Denmark is still in the building and so is Claus Meyer, Bendt Bendtsen og Samuel Rachlin. Go get them! We want to share our wonderful project with them. Hmmm how do we do that? Well, I will tell you a lot more about this over the weekend, when I have plenty of time in the car driving towards Chicago. I will give you an appetizer though...I shook Mary's hand and... Yeahhhhh!

New York, USA

The land of possibilities – hmmmm!
This is an amazing world. Wauuuv! I am right now so happy and thrilled that I have butterflies in my stomach. People around me are unbelievable fantastic.

My world’s best Hot Dog Team is incredible, facing every challenge we meet with positive energy, people are so helpful and before I know it they are a part of the project working to make it a success. I have gotten so many new Hot Dog Friends in New York and my very special ones I call Hot Dog Angels.

Mission one, New York City
From Sunday night we have been sent around in the jungle of cars, trucks and trailers. Every time ending up in the same spot – NOT POSSIBLE! Grrrrr! This is the land of possibilities, isn’t it?

Then I called Carl Vilhjelm from New Jersey and he has now offered that we can buy the car in his name so we can rent a trailer with insurance. Yaahooooooooooooooo!

That’s how the Hot Dog Angel came up. He is a super duper fantastic guy and is right now dealing with it together with the Hot Dog Agent Søren.

Now the Hot Dog Stand can come with us. Else we had to tear it apart, bring with us what we could in a motor home and leave the rest behind. That would have been very very sad. I neeeeeeed my Hot Dog Stand with me. Yes, I do! Oh by the way, the car Carl found is of course….red!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Thank you all my Hot Dog agents and Angel.

Mission II, New York City
We were so lucky to have two nights sponsored by the Millenium Hotel in NYC. After that we didn’t know where to sleep. At all! And the Hot Dog Budget didn’t allow us neither to stay nor to book another hotel. So Monday morning, when we had to leave the hotel, Hot Dog Agent Tina threw her good energy into her community of couch surfers.

And swupti later that day a New Yorker offered his couch to Tina and me. How great was that?! The guys went to Lee’s friends. Through the community of couch surfers and by Tina’s veeeeery hard work we now have places to sleep until Saturday when we leave for Chicago. For Free! uhhh I like that!

Another good thing about it is that the guy we are staying with now - all four of us in a one bedroom appartment - is just totally amazing and is now using his agent skills to help us out with more songs for the album and media in the USA. So a big kiss to him and his willingness to share. He is difinately my new Hot Dog Friend. Thank you thank you!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Thank you Agent Tina

First event / location: Central Bronz
What an experience. More about this when I get more time to write, now I need to take care of my Hot Dog Stand, so we can accomplish mission III – to serve hot dogs at Hotel Hilton, Manhatten. yahoooooooooooooo!!

Media
This morning I was supposed to be on air for 10 minutes at 8.45am in New York and Miami. Unfortunately the technique didn’t work and I have been rescheduled to next Wednesday - 20 minutes live on air. I am working on different media and will let you know as soon as something comes up.

Hot Dog Team Usa coast2coast 2007

Proudly I present my one and only, very unique and wonderful voluntary Hot Dog Team for USA coast2coast 2007.

Hot Dog Agent Tina Oeverlind
Hot Dog Agent Søren Dahl
Hot Dog Agent Lee Edward

On the poster Søren is to the left, then me, then Tina and then Lee.

On TV tonight - DR1 Aftenshowet 6pm

Tune in on DR1 Aftenshowet tonight. During the summer it has been at the Danish Technological Institute to get solar panels and a bike installed. Both things to generate power.

///
