How to inspire?

I will inspire by travelling around the world, serving a bite of Danish culture for free to support charities. For the last five years we have been touring European cities with The Danish Hot Dog Stand to support charity. We have travelled the highways of America and most recently we joined Le Mans in France and went to Shanghai, China to support Morning Tears.

Merry Christmas and ACT!!

The Hot Dog Stand is now back in Denmark. It had a safe trip with DSV from Los Angeles to the harbour of its home town, Aarhus. For now Hottie is taking a break and relaxing a bit before the new adventures in 2008. The plan is so far to visit Oslo, Norway; Le Mans, France; London, England; OL in Beijing.

You can download the fantastic album USA coast2coast 2007 at www.prefueled.com under unsigned. All that money goes to kids with arthritis. If you want to give the album away for Christmas you can buy a getit card in Fona.

Hottie and I wish you all a merry merry Christmas - may all your wishes come true in 2008.

If you want to make a change - ACT!!

...all your love

The soup kitchen in central Bronx wrote this back to us when Lee the Photographer sent them pictures.

Oh my GOD thank you for all your help and all your LOVE!!!! Thank you for the hot dog and helping us out. I will email the pictures to Daune and Oliver so they can have them. You guys were the best and I hope we get to work with you in the future.

This makes me smile, makes me happy and I am positive that we made a difference for a lot of people that day. On the phone the day before, the response to our visit was: "Wauv, no one has ever done that for us."

Hottie on its way home from LA

Yesterday Hottie got on the ship that will take it home to Mamma...Hot Dog Mamma...he he. From the DSV terminal in LA it will go through the Panama Canal and cross the Atlantic Ocean before it hits its home continent, Europe. It has now visited two of the seven continents of the world - and with five to go new plans are up in the air.

In about four weeks Hottie will arrive in its hometown Aarhus, Denmark.

I am so pleased that DSV is bringing it back to me, because I know for sure they will take the best care of it. Hottie is in my thoughts and I send it some love for the trip. Please do the same, I know Hottie will appreciate.

Home safe and satisfied

Now I am back in Aarhus trying to get back on track after a totally fantastic tour across the States with my Hot Dog Stand. Wauuuv. I am fighting the jet lag, running my business and closing down a wonderful USA coast2coast tour. As soon as possible I will be back and tell more about everything. Right now I need some rest. ZZZZzzzzzzzzz

Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills 90210

What a rush it was to see the line of people at Rodeo Drive. People waiting to get a bite of Danish culture in the name of kids with arthritis. And then Sven Ole Thorsen came. Waaauuuuuw!!

We drove up in front of the Bang & Olufsen store and parked the car at the corner to unload Hottie. That wasn't easy. The cops did not want us there, uhhh no, too fancy of a place to have something like that there. That's for sure. The most expensive street in the world - some say.

This day was a great way to end the tour and what a difference from our first event in Central Bronx, where we served for homeless and pour people.

Arriving at Rodeo Drive I looked at the door....oh oh..hottie will not fit in that door. Then what??? Well, we got Hottie off the trailer with only one visit from the police, took Hottie to the door and got it sqeezed in, pyhhh, we made it!

Among fancy TV's and stereos of high quality Hottie stood proud and smiling ready to rock and roll for the last time in the USA.

Beverly Hills, Danish Film Festival Reception

On October the 6th we drove up to Beverly Hills, Angelo Drive after a hunt for methanol. After searching for it a couple of hours and being sent to one place after another that did not have it, we gave up. We did order some loooong time ago and expected it to show up in Elk Horn. It did four days too late and then we were gone. Thomas from Elk Horn tried to send it to LA, but you have to be licenced to send Methanol. Bummer!

Not having methanol it is great that our bike is up and running and many people sat on the bike that day in Beverly Hills. The Danish Film Festival Reception was hosted by Niels Christian Uhrenholt from the Trade Commission of Denmark here in LA and approx. 100 people were invited.

Standing in the drive way we could welcome the guests when they arrived and let them know about us and our cause. Everybody was positively surprised when they saw us, said it looked really cozy and that they would definately come back. The Hot Dog Agents Tina, Søren and Lee had made it really really nice with candle light and music from the charity CD. Lee also made remoulade, Yummi!

Vincent Van Go Go played at the reception and fine cuisine were served by the pool.

Despite the cuisine some people said that we were the best that night and a wonderful ingredient to the fancy reception. Even one of the Chefs, Al, said that everybody in the kitchen loved the hot dogs; he brought down some of their food and the Hot Dog Team loved that! Typical.

Well, during that night I was honored by many happy faces that spread some good energy. Mads Mikkelsen came by and asked me if I remembered what kind of onions he likes....uhhh raw, I said and it was right. He told me that thursday night, when I bumped into him at Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. I am so glad I remembered. Pyhhh. He ordered a heated Cocio and said he would be back.

In the meantime Anders Mattesen came by to enjoy a hot dog together with some friends. Kristian Riis from Nephew and Janus from Vincent Van Go Go both had their debut as a Hot Dog Man. They both did it sooooo well, I was really proud and we had a great time in Hottie serving Hot Dogs to happy people, who think that the project is very very cool.

Then came Torsten Jansen, Head of Press, Culture and Information at the Danish Embassy in Washington DC. He just wanted to stop by to say hello....all of a sudden he was in the hot dog stand making hot dogs and he himself was surprised. Then he sat on the bike generating a loooooot of power for the battery - I think he is used to biking, cause waauuv he could bike. Last but not least he enjoyed a hot dog and then he was even more surprised, cause all he wanted was to say hello. Magic, I think it is the Hottie Magic. The kind of Magic that fills you up with joy, energy and good vibes - the Magic that attracts you..the Hottie Magic...Yeahhh

When the Cocio was almost boiling Mr. Mikkelsen came to have his hot dog with raw onions and heated cocio. We chatted and talked about meeting the next time in Beijing to the Olympics 2008, because of course he is gonna qualify for that...descipline...hmmm I suggested "stangspring" he thought it would be 800 meters, well, we will see.

It was a cosy night and I saw a lot af smiling faces saying that we are really cool, doing this for kids with arthritis. It makes me warm when people say that.

I am proud of my Hot Dog Team that once again kicked ass and made the night memorable for a lot of people including myself. Thank you, my special Hot Dog Agents Tina, Søren and Lee.

Meeting Mads Mikkelsen in Hollywood

The Hot Dog Team entered on thursday the 4th of october the Roosevelt Hotel with keyhangers, Cocio, caps and charity cds. The Danish Film Festival had the opening Galla Party and approx. 600 people were invited and my good music friends Vincent Van GO GO gave a concert. Grrrrrrreat!

Unfortunately Hottie could not go with us - Roosevelt Hotel said no even though June, manager of the Film Festival fought to the very end for us. Too bad, people would have loved Hottie as a cosy contrast to all the fancy pancy stuff.

We told people about USA coast2coast and they loved the story. Some got keyhangers and some got a cd or a cap. Roosevelt did not like the Cocios, so they stayed under the table. Only Sven Ole Thorsen got two to take home.

During the night I bumped into Mads Mikkelsen, I introduced myself and he said that he heard about us. Waauuv! Isn't that cool! I also had the pleasure to shake hands with Sven Ole Thorsen - he is a super nice and cool guy! Yeah! Tina and I sat down beside Anden, "The Duck", Anders Mattesen and had a chat with him about our tour and a bit about his film "Terkel in trouble". He looked really good in his suit. Wuuw!

Well, it was a great night and we met soooooo many really nice people who were very welcoming. Oh yeahh I also said hello to the man behind "Who killed the electrical car" - if you know that movie...

Time to go to bed, tomorrow we are going to Beverly Hills with Hottie. 90210, sounds so cool!

How are things going?

Well, if I look at the goals, here is how we are doing.

Goals USA coast 2coast

Generate power for the Hot Dog Stand from a bike - I have the bike and it works.

Visit Today´s `Morning Show` and `Oprah Winfrey` - I have been in contact with Oprah's senior producer of the content and he is waiting for some material from me. He mentioned something about a theme in May next year I would fit into. I will keep on fighting for it. NBC got an email - no answer.

Get Al Gore to ride the power-bike - we will invite him for an event in LA.

Ask Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sven Ole Thorsen to
carry the Hot Dog Stand
- I am arranging an event with Sven in LA, I hope it works out. Ha got it confirmed today, Sven is coming to the event the 12th in LA.

Get an autograph from BB-King - we have been in contact with a band member of his.

Get inside the Atlanta football stadium with the kicker Morten Andersen in the Hot Dog Stand - well, since Morten didn't have a club by the time I left Denmark, we couldn't do it, now he has and now it is too late, unfortunately.

Have the model and store owner Helena Christensen to serve hot dogs in New York - we were working so hard to get a car and trailer in NYC that we didn't even have time to visit Helena in her store. I wrote her an email not long ago - no reply.

Serve a hot dog to G. W. Bush in front of The White House - because of Oprah Winfrey I decided to go through Chicago and not Washington DC.

See if Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton like Danish Hot Dogs - they will get an invitation for the event in LA.

Get a full body treatment by Ole Henriksen in Hollywood - I have left a message on his answering machine, now I am crossing my fingers.

Release a music album with at least one song from eight different artists - the music album is being released at www.prefueled.com this week with 16 songs. A spot is made for the Danish radio: Radio 100FM and they will send it out in the air.

A day in mountain heaven

Hottie climbed the Rocky Mountains with style - hottie is cool.
Christian took us to his house in Golden that has a wonderful mountain view. 8000 feet / 2600 meters above see level. We all felt the thin and fresh air.
That afternoon Christian took Hottie and us to the highest located lake in the USA, 14000 feet / 4600 meters above see level, uh I got a bit dizzy and so did hottie. We have never been that high up together, and we made it. Yahooooooo. So so beautiful.

Christian has been a wonderful and very inspiring host, a perfect break for the Hot Dog Team, Hottie and me. Thank you Christian - my new Hot Dog Friend and if that was not enough, Chistian has donated Dkr. 5000 to children with arthritis. Your kindness, warmth and willingness to share is overwhelming.

We are now in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Taken from http://www.usatourist.com/english/places/newmexico/santafe.html:
With 65,000 residents, Santa Fe is New Mexico’s third largest city. It was originally settled by Spaniards before 1607, and is now the oldest state capital city in the United States.

Denver, Colorado

With a little help from my new Hot Dog Friend.

Uhhh I feeeeel good, du du du du du du, I feeeeeel good, la la la la

What a wonderful feeling it is to watch Hottie cruise through the USA to support children with arthritis. It is an undescribable feeling to live out my dream. It's fantastic, crazy, surrealistic, cozy, warm..it is like falling in love. First I couldn't eat, I didn't sleep much and I couldn't think of anything but Hottie in the USA. It tickles in my stomach, my eyes smile and I have a hard time talking about anything else. I am happy.

The day today
16 hours in the car, on a totally straight road in the mittle of nothing..sorry in the mittle of Nebraska. They said it was flat and boring - they were absolutely right. It is quite an experience though to see these parts of USA. To get a feeling of how different it is and how big this country is.

After spending the day on the road, I and the Hot Dog Team have now checked in at the Holiday Inn Hotel to get some rest. Two really nice women, Beverly Wofford and Bobbi, that came to support us at the Hot Dog Party in Elk Horn, used their magic stick and swupti then we had a nice and cosy bed to sleep in tonight in Denver.

These women privately donated two hotel rooms - sometimes I have to pinsh my arm to realize that this is really true. Wooooow, I mean..this is just some amazing women, who decide to share and thereby make a difference to us and the charity tour.

Thank you! You are wonderful.

Together with Hottie and the Team I have decided to spend one day in Denver. Hot Dog Agent Tina and I have really worked hard to create an event with the Denver Broncos - unfortunately without any luck. Bummer!

We are now half way through the tour and we all need a break from the computers, telephones and the car. This nice man Christian Christensen has opened up his home to us and we will spend the sunday looking at the mountains and getting our bodies recharged. We really need that!

It's now 2am at night and I am ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Elk Horn, Iowa

Wuuuuuuw, what a wonderful world, full of wonderful and warm people. Every where I go, I meet embracing people, who want to do the best they can to support us and the cause. This time we arrived in Elk Horn and the great Thomas Hansen and Lisa Riggs Welcomed us with open arms. Thomas is Director of Development at The Danish Immigrant Museum here in Elk Horn and he is an amazing man, who has a fantastic energy and like us never never never never give up. Lisa Riggs is the head of the wind mill and is a very warm and giving person.

I thought St. Charles was a small town...this place has 600 enhabitants and is reeeeeeally quiet. Ahhh peaceful and flat as Denmark.

BUT, the minute the Hot Dog Stand was on the grass in front of the old Danish Wind Mill - importet from Nørre Snede, Denmark - people started to show up and so did the newspapers and a TV station. At 12am sharp there was a huge line and I had to make 120 hot dogs per hour to keep up with the line, fast fast fast fast. Only because I have my efficient Hot Dog Team with me, I could do that.

The sun was shining, people were chatting and laughing, we were all smiling, the birds sang, the music album was playing out loud...Hottie and the Hot Dog Team were rocking in Elk Horn.

The Mayor Howard Sørensen came and had his debut as a Hot Dog Man. His grandparents came to the States from Denmark. He is born and raised in the USA, but when he visited his grandparents his grandmother spoke only Danish, so he had to learn.

Howard did not run for the election, he was chosen by the community and asked to become the mayor. That is so cool. He gotta be an inspiring and respected man. I definately felt his warmth and good spirit - and he made a perfect hot dog, what more does a Hot Dog Woman want, ha ha.

After six hours and 480 Hot Dogs and a lot of good chats with people from all over this area, I closed down Hottie.

People came from up to two hours drive from here, just to visit us. They read about it in the news papers and heard it on the radio.

What a wonderful feeling, Elk Horn, Iowa.

Hitting the road again. Next stop Denver, Colorado to spend the night before moving on to LA.

Huge Hot Dog Party in ST. Charles

Saturday night we arrived to the small town St. Charles, 1½ hours west of Chicago, after 26 hours on the road. A peaceful and quiet place in the countryside. We got our own old house in a really cozy atmosphere and when we parked the car, the neighbour sat around the fire listening to "Sweet home Alabama". We all smiled and felt good inside - this was definately different from NYC.

Sunday around 250 Danes and Americans came to a party at Mid West Ground Covers, which is a huge place started by the Dane Peter Ørum and his lovely wife Irma.

The Hot Dog Stand was rocking and so were the Hot Dog Team and I. For 3 hours I did nothing else but served hot dogs to excited people. The songs from the music album played in the background, the sun was shining and everything was just perfect for a Hot Dog Party to support children with arthritis.

Uhhh every time I looked at the line it was as big as before. I served and served and served and served and the line did not seem to moove at all. Great, I love it.

Well, monday we went to Mid West Ground Covers again to serve hot dogs and this time to the employees. It was a really nice day where I got to talk to the local people working and living in the area of St Charles. Nice people.

By the way, we got the car and that is wonderful. What we didn't know was that a lepricorn lived in the car and all it has done since we left NYC is to tease us. First the windows couldn't go up and down, then the light didn't work and when the light worked again the radio didn't work. Hmmm then we got the windows fixed and we all celebrated it by taking the windows down....and then they were stuck again. Grrrr...

On thursday we head towards Danish Immigrant Museum in Elk Horn, Iowa.

A big hello and lots of smiles from the Hot Dog Team to all of you.

Hilton New York debut - mission meet the Crown Prince of Denmark

Never give up, never never give up, never never never give up and where there is a will there is a way, that is how my fantastic Hot Dog Team Works. After struggeling with the transport of the Hot Dog Stand for three days it finally finally arrived in NYC. And only with Agent Søren's great creativity, stubborness and handy man skills and by taking the wheels off the stand so it fit in the trailer, we made it just in time to serve Hot Dogs at the Hilton Hotel on Manhattan at Creative Nations promotion event.
Wet eyes .. when Søren came driving in the streets of New York Ciy I was so touched that I cried a bit. To see my Hot Dog Stand in the US and in NYC was unbelievable and a dream coming true. I have felt a pressure in my stomach the last couple of days and not been able to eat properly, that pressure disappeared right there on the spot when I saw my beauty. Together with the Team I cheered and jumped of happiness and relief - even Søren got wet eyes.
Getting the Hot Dog Stand ready in about two hours required effective Team work. My incredible Team even did it in a totally relaxed and cosy way so we were ready for the guests at the conference in their afternoon break. Ready for the first round of Hot Dogs served with love.
Unfortunately the Crown Prince of Denmark left before we got ready, AARRRRGGHHHGGG, BUT hey the Crown Princess of Denmark is still in the building and so is Claus Meyer, Bendt Bendtsen og Samuel Rachlin. Go get them! We want to share our wonderful project with them. Hmmm how do we do that? Well, I will tell you a lot more about this over the weekend, when I have plenty of time in the car driving towards Chicago. I will give you an appetizer though...I shook Mary's hand and... Yeahhhhh!

New York, USA

The land of possibilities – hmmmm!
This is an amazing world. Wauuuv! I am right now so happy and thrilled that I have butterflies in my stomach. People around me are unbelievable fantastic.

My world’s best Hot Dog Team is incredible, facing every challenge we meet with positive energy, people are so helpful and before I know it they are a part of the project working to make it a success. I have gotten so many new Hot Dog Friends in New York and my very special ones I call Hot Dog Angels.

Mission one, New York City
From Sunday night we have been sent around in the jungle of cars, trucks and trailers. Every time ending up in the same spot – NOT POSSIBLE! Grrrrr! This is the land of possibilities, isn’t it?

Then I called Carl Vilhjelm from New Jersey and he has now offered that we can buy the car in his name so we can rent a trailer with insurance. Yaahooooooooooooooo!

That’s how the Hot Dog Angel came up. He is a super duper fantastic guy and is right now dealing with it together with the Hot Dog Agent Søren.

Now the Hot Dog Stand can come with us. Else we had to tear it apart, bring with us what we could in a motor home and leave the rest behind. That would have been very very sad. I neeeeeeed my Hot Dog Stand with me. Yes, I do! Oh by the way, the car Carl found is of course….red!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Thank you all my Hot Dog agents and Angel.

Mission II, New York City
We were so lucky to have two nights sponsored by the Millenium Hotel in NYC. After that we didn’t know where to sleep. At all! And the Hot Dog Budget didn’t allow us neither to stay nor to book another hotel. So Monday morning, when we had to leave the hotel, Hot Dog Agent Tina threw her good energy into her community of couch surfers.

And swupti later that day a New Yorker offered his couch to Tina and me. How great was that?! The guys went to Lee’s friends. Through the community of couch surfers and by Tina’s veeeeery hard work we now have places to sleep until Saturday when we leave for Chicago. For Free! uhhh I like that!

Another good thing about it is that the guy we are staying with now - all four of us in a one bedroom appartment - is just totally amazing and is now using his agent skills to help us out with more songs for the album and media in the USA. So a big kiss to him and his willingness to share. He is difinately my new Hot Dog Friend. Thank you thank you!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Thank you Agent Tina

First event / location: Central Bronz
What an experience. More about this when I get more time to write, now I need to take care of my Hot Dog Stand, so we can accomplish mission III – to serve hot dogs at Hotel Hilton, Manhatten. yahoooooooooooooo!!

Media
This morning I was supposed to be on air for 10 minutes at 8.45am in New York and Miami. Unfortunately the technique didn’t work and I have been rescheduled to next Wednesday - 20 minutes live on air. I am working on different media and will let you know as soon as something comes up.

The hot dog stand arrives to New York /// Pølsevognen lander i New York

The Hot Dog Stand has arrived to New York. Uhhh it is exciting to think of and I really hope that it is feeling good after the long journey in a DSV container. I am looking forward hugging it in New York in nine days. Yeahh in only nine days the Hot Dog Team and I spep into the plane to begin the Hot Dog Adventure in the States to support children with arthritis. Just nine days and off we go...the day before, Friday the 14th of September, I drop by DR's Evening Show.

Three weeks left /// Tre uger tilbage

Less than three weeks to departure, a Hot Dog Stand that is rocking on the Atlantic Ocean and an answer from the American Embassy saying that our Visa Applications are incomplete, yeahh then I have to act and act faster than Lucky Luke and his shadow. To help me I have Creative Nation, who is handeling the challenge with me using all we got. Cross your fingers, please! Kryds fingre!

The departure of the Hot Dog Stand /// Pølsevognens afgang

The Hot Dog Stand left Aarhus on sunday the 19th of August 2007. During the summer it has been at the Danish Technological Institute to get solar panels and a bike installed. Both things to generate power.

///
